Welcome to River Ramblings! My name is Sue and I hope you are encouraged to visit!
For the past 11 years I have lived in Chamberlain/Oacoma, S.D. I moved here after being led by God to leave my career as a USDA Farm Loan Officer (I had just received my 4-year paralegal degree) to work as a houseparent for Native American teenage girls at a boarding school here. I did that for eight years and then continued to work with teens as a manager at a fast food establishment. I now work as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, with my caseload being incarcerated teens. I originallly named this blog sing speak glory seek, because when Jesus first ‘called’ me, He inspired me to write and sing songs….. I have over sixty of them. I then changed the name of the blog to My Life is Christs. Because that is how I feel. I just want to serve Him however He wants me. I went through a valley time when it seemed like He didn’t need me for anything, but that time passed. We must trust Him in everything! I just now changed my blog name again to River Ramblings, because my husband and I live on a boat during the spring, summer and fall. Some of the best times I have with the Lord are on this boat. There’s no one ‘theme’ to my blog. I might write about my kids or my grandkids. I might write how the Lord has revealed something to me. I might write about experiences at work. I might write about catching a fish! But whatever my life is, I pray that it is pointing towards Jesus, the One who saves. The One who saved me.
Psalm 105:1-2 says, “Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.
Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.”
